In this tutorial I am going to show you how to host files like animate.css or hover.css on google drive so that you can call them when you need them for your projects. So stick with me through this brief tutorial and by the time we finish you should comfortable enough to host your own files with ease.
Before we begin you will need a google account which is fairly simple to get and chances are you probably already have one. If you don't have on take a minute and set one up here.
Log into your google drive account and create a new folder. Click new > folder.
Give your folder a name and click create.
Right click the fold you just created and select share from the options. A small window will pop up with some options you need to select advanced in the bottom tight corner.
In the next window you need to change the access level of your folder to public. Click change and you will be presented with some additional options. Select public.
Click on the folder you created to get into it. Next upload you css files you wish to host.
While still in the folder look at the url and copy and paste the long string of number and letters after the word folders that is the folder id.
Now paste the folder id after this https://googledrive.com/host/ and hit enter.
The last step should have taken you to a list of the files in the folder.
Right click and copy the link address and paste it to notepad.
Congratulations you now have a file ready to be called into your projects.
So how do I call the file into my web projects?
To add an external style sheet to your website all that is required is to link the file in the headed. For Platform 5 and DMS users this super easy. All that required is to include this html with the correct url to your scripts area.
